The first official state championship of the 2021 calendar year will be held on February 20. The All-Girls state championship will be hosted on chesskid.com and directed by Alabama Scholastic Coordinator Todd Guthrie. Girls from kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to participate in either the K-3, K-6, or K-12 section. Both a USCF membership and ACF membership are required to play.
The tournament will begin at 1 PM for the K-3 and K-6 sections and should be finished by 6 PM while the K-12 section will start at 2 PM and be finished by 7 PM. Trophies for the top 1-5 finishers will be awarded in each section. In the K-12 section, the top four finishers will be invited to a playoff (date TBD) where the winner will receive a nomination to attend the Ruth Haring National Girls Tournament of Champions!
