Membership Info

Individual & Family Memberships:

Individual Memberships: ($15/Person)

Any individual may become a member upon the payment of annual dues of $15.00. Membership grants the individual the right to play in any and all state championship tournaments (upon paying any applicable tournament entry fee) and also gives the member of 18 years of age or older (if younger, one parent) the right to vote at the ACF’s annual membership meeting. Individual, family, and lifetime members are also eligible to have their games or tournament photos entered into the ACF’s Game of the Quarter and Photo of the Quarter competitions.

Family Memberships: ($30/Family)

Any family may become a member upon the payment of annual dues of $30.00. The family members eligible for inclusion in this package are: an adult buying the membership, his/her spouse, and any children living with the parents younger than 25 years of age.  Membership grants the family members the right to play in any and all state championship tournaments (upon paying any applicable tournament entry fee) and also gives one vote per family at the ACF’s annual membership meeting. Individual, family, and lifetime members are also eligible to have their games or tournament photos entered into the ACF’s Game of the Quarter and Photo of the Quarter competitions.

Lifetime Memberships: ($150/Person)

Any individual may become a lifetime member upon the payment of a one time fee of $150.00. Lifetime membership grants the individual the right to play in any and all state championship tournaments (upon paying any applicable tournament entry fee) and also gives the member of 18 years of age or older (if younger, one parent) the right to vote at the ACF’s annual membership meeting. Individual, family, and lifetime members are also eligible to have their games or tournament photos entered into the ACF’s Game of the Quarter and Photo of the Quarter competitions.

Affiliate Memberships: ($35/Affiliate)

We welcome any organized group of chess players who wish to support Alabama Chess to join as an Affiliate member. Annual dues are $35. Benefits of becoming an affiliate include:

• Your own affiliate’s page populated with links to your website and socials, any photos, and any description you would like to include.
• Your logo will appear on the bottom of our home page with a link to your affiliate’s page. 
• We will post your tournament dates (and flyers) on the ACF calendar as provided to us.
• We will post post-tournament reports to the ACF website as provided to us.
• Right to bid to host various Alabama Championship events.
• Advisory role to the ACF Executive Board.
• Being a special part of an organization dedicated to promoting chess in Alabama.
